This time the panels are 1×3 m. and are much easier to handle.

Last month we began an new Tony and Friends Show on Positiveness, called “Smile.” Tony just doesn’t understand why he is so depressed, so Steve takes him through an inspiring history of music and Dance. Tony was also joined by his friend Jack Parrot and his friendly pirate.

So far we have performed in the Rijeka jail, for an orphanage, Seniors’ home, Children’s hospital and “Angeli” center for disabled adults (where we also painted murals)

“Volunteering in the community” – video clip about Croatian young people volunteering in the community, clown therapy, mural painting, free hugs etc.

In Italy we continued our youth project in one of the secondary schools in Trento attended by some of the young people from the “8 Days” video.  We were able to do a mural and on the last day “Free Hugs” in the hallways!

Today was the final activity of the project “Akcija: Volontiranje u zajednici” with a mural in the Udgra Anđeli” in Rijeka. We were joined by our International friends, and students from Rijeka.

This week, in spite of the weather this past few weeks, we completed the ground floor shell. Over the next few weeks we hope to finish the first floor. Then will come the temporary roofing, windows and doors and the team from Hungary can come and work on the drywall interior walls.

Yesterday “Project Akcija” took us to Oštro to paint a mural on the outside walls of the institution for disabled children where we often perform. We were joined by some very enthusiastic young people, some of whom have attended our seminars, and yet others who already volunteer some of their time there. It was a wonderful joint effort and all had a great time! A job well done! The staff and children were very pleased with the results.

On Thursday the trucks came with the concrete for the ground floor ICF panels.Needless to say, the operation was a success.

For the next floor we will be changing the technique and making horizontal panels 1×3 m.

We continued our project by giving seminars on volunteering based on the documentary “8 Days.”Some of the students had already joined us in our Free Hugs on Valentine’s day and are eager to participate in our mural and Smile Therapy projects.

Another part of the project “Volunteering in the Community” was the painting of a mural in the home for abused families “Dom Sveta Ana”. We were joined again by some of the Lovran students, plus our dear friend Elen, and even some of the children themselves joined in.
